


Terms and Conditions for Exhibitions and Sales
.
1. The artist or crafts person provides the work for exhibition or sale freely without preconditions and is free to remove them from the gallery at any reasonable time by arrangement with the gallery.
2. The gallery will take reasonable steps to take good care of the exhibits and items for sale.
3. The person submitting their work for exhibition and/or sale accepts that the gallery is not responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever to the exhibits or goods.
4. The gallery will not insure any work against loss or damage, the artist or crafts person may decide to make their own arrangements for this.
5. The gallery will upon sale of any item advise the artist and make due payment to them less the agreed commission and charges. In the case of small value craft items a monthly payment will be done to keep administration and costs to a minimum. The payment will normally be by cheque.
6. If an item on exhibition is sold the gallery will decide if the artist can submit a replacement exhibit.
7. For small value craft items the crafts person will be advised so that arrangements can be made to keep suitable levels of stock available to satisfy the interest of customers.
8. Delivery to and from the gallery will be the responsibility of the artist unless agreed otherwise. If any item is transported by the gallery they will not held responsible for any damage or loss during transportation.
9. Works of art should be supplied suitably strung with string or wire with a label on the reverse stating the artist’s name, name of the piece of work, the medium and the date it was produced.
10. The gallery reserves the right to close an exhibition at any time by advising the artist.
11. In submitting works of art or craft to the gallery for exhibition and or sale the artist and crafts person is agreeing to these terms.
