John who is a local artist, residing in Oakengates Telford, began painting
in oils
over 40 years ago, but a growing family and pressure of work prevented him from taking
up the brush again until 10 years ago,
this time turning his hand to watercolour
and acrylic.
"I like to draw on memories and experiences for my inspiration and although watercolour
is my first love, some subjects lend themselves
to acrylics as with my industrial
scenes ".
John can turn his brush to most things and has gained his experience in local classes and holiday courses.
He has exhibited in various local and national exhibitions.

John exhibited 12 paintings in total 7 acrylic and 5 watercolours.
Six of the acrylic paintings focus on industrial forging and one acrylic, “Ironbridge at Dawn”.
